Our next nominee for the Douche of the Month Award is…(drum roll)…Pat Robertson!

Yes, that’s right, next to Jerry Farwell there pretty much isn’t a bigger waste of humanity. The only reason that Pat takes this week’s nomination over Jerry is simply because Pat made the more arrogant, ignorant and radically far gone piece of hate speech this past week. If you’re not in on the loop with this one, here is the amazing quote that Pat spat out:

“I’d like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don’t turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city,” He went on to say, “And don’t wonder why He hasn’t helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I’m not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that’s the case, don’t ask for His help because he might not be there.”

Well, to the “televangelist” known by the name of Pat Robertson I say this: If you really have any faith or belief in God, then you, as a leader, are expected to keep yourself beyond reproach and be a shepard…not a hate monger. You are supposed to help build faith and encourage inspiration, not cast out ramblings of damnation. Telling people that God no longer looks down upon them, that He has turned his back on mankind and will not help those people in their time of need…I mean where does Pat get this stuff? Certainly not from a God of compassion, and since when did God become a bratty little kid that didn’t want to play anymore because someone didn’t like His little red truck? We were given the gift of free will for that very purpose, to choose what we wanted to believe in or who we want too believe in.

Pat and his little gang of “preachers” that seem to love God…or at least the money that they make off of him…give having any sort of belief or faith a bad name. I mean Pat is so full of himself that he even wants you to know that he is part of a “royal blood line” when you visit his webpage. In fact, notice the irony of how Pat puts his promotions for his books and other assorted merchandise up at the top of his homepage…front and center…but oddly enough you have to scroll all of the way down to the bottom of the page to even find a Bible verse…sure sounds like a selfless man of Christ to me!
