(This is the post that I was talking about earlier…it took 6 hours to travel 1.2 miles via e-mail…WTF?)

Like balloon won at the county fair by a five year old; bewildered by its amazing ability to levitate, yet empowered by the unyielding strength of a short cut of twine, only to be cast into some lost corner of the bedroom and destine to dissipate into life’s “Forgottens,” so I have come to find my role here at work.

It isn’t that I have become intellectually bored with my job, because nearly every day presents itself with a company of new problems for me to tackle, but more that I find myself in total control of my position. For a lack of better words, my thought process has adapted to the mental environment around here; I now no longer look at new issues with a feeling of dumbfoundedness and a need to study what’s going on as much as I know, almost immediately know exactly what approach that I will take in order to achieve a solution. Now I know that most of you are wonder, “So what’s the big deal, you get to chill out at work all day?” Well, the big problem is that I feel that “I” may soon become routine, that my approaches and ideas will soon become the norm, and even though these ideas will keep me ahead of the game for a good while, it is more an issue of I want to think about something else. Or better yet, think in a new way. Especially since my cube is surrounded by the most annoying sewing circle known to man: everything from TV talk shows to children going through puberty, I am forced to listen to it all while I work. Granted, I do throw on my headphones everyday and turn up good ole Eddie Vedder and the gang, but DAMN! Imagine having to hand-write a term paper while on a flight from LA to London, on the world’s smallest plane, surrounded by ten thousand chickens with enlarged vocal chords, and you might have a clue about my working environment.

But I guess this has been enough of a “bitch” moment for me, cause it is back to work for now!
